METRO AG je německá obchodní a maloobchodní společnost. Působí jako holdingová společnost pro METRO Group, která je členěná do pěti obchodních značek: Metro Cash & Carry, Real, Media Markt, Saturn a Galeria Kaufhof GmbH. Metro Cash & Carry se zabývá samoobslužným velkoobchodem založeným v roce 1964. K 31. prosinci 2009 měl 668 otevřených míst. Značka Real se zabývá potravinovými hypermarkety, které byly k 31. prosinci 2009 na 441 místech. Real byl vytvořen fúzí hypermarketů v roce 1992. Značka Media Markt, založená v roce 1979, se zabývá maloobchodem spotřební elektroniky. K 31. prosinci 2009 byly obchody Media Markt na 580 místech. Značka Saturn, založená v roce 1961, ze zabývá maloobchodem spotřební elektroniky. K 31. prosinci 2009 měla 238 otevřených míst. Galeria Kaufhof GmbH je správcovská společnost obchodních domů obsluhovaná METRO Group. K 31. prosinci 2009 měla obchodní domy na 141 místech. Byla založena v roce 1879.
